WINNIPEG, MB – From Uncertainty to Hope.  This simple sentence describes the journey for many refugees and immigrants who come to Canada.  It was also the theme of this year's 11th Annual Salvation Army Hope in the City Breakfast.  Over four hundred guests were on hand at the RBC Convention Centre to hear the stories of newcomers to Canada and how The Salvation Army has helped bring hope to their journey.

Hope in the City – Winnipeg

On November 16, The Winnipeg Convention Centre will be playing host to the 6th annual Hope in the City Breakfast. Our guest speaker will be Thomas Caldwell, CEO of Caldwell Securities Ltd. This breakfast will also serve as the official kick-off to the 2010 Christmas Kettle Season.

On November 18, 550 people came together at the Winnipeg Convention Centre to enjoy not only breakfast, but a guest speaker with a compelling story to tell. Dr. Tom Jackson, well-known musician, actor and humanitarian, gave the keynote address at the official kickoff for Winnipeg’s Christmas activities.
