The Salvation Army’s 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic
On Friday September 9th, The Salvation Army hosted their 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Angus Glen Golf Course.
This year we had 108 golfers who experienced a great round of golf, delicious food and supported a great cause! This year's efforts raised $41,700 which will go towards The Salvation Army's greatest programming needs throughout the GTA.
The golfers enjoyed having Lance Brown, CTV News Sports Anchor emcee the lunch program while they took the time to bid on silent auction items such as Toronto Maple Leafs tickets, Toronto Blue Jays Tickets and a signed Toronto Raptors Basketball to name a few! The best highlight of the day was when the golfers had the opportunity to have their golf swing recorded! Each golfer was then sent a copy of their swing – and apparently a few have since been back to the driving range to correct what they saw!
Overall it was a stunning day that just made for a fabulous event that many will remember!
