This past Sunday, May 29th a group of 30 kids from The Salvation Army in Peel attended the Toronto Blue Jays Game in their Jays Care Community Clubhouse. What an experience!! The kids were given each a three in one bobble head featuring Jose Bautista, Carlos Delgado and Vernon Wells. In fact, it was Vernon Wells who invited The Salvation Army to the clubhouse! The kids had endless helpings of pizza, hot dogs and chicken fingers! They were even on the jumbo tron! The kids were super excited when Ace came to visit them all. It was especially fun watching the teenage boys get into the game and chanting "go Jays go", "defense".

Speaking with with one of the girls in grade 8, she shared about her impressive dream of wanting to be a Cardiologist, and another young girl in grade 4, talked about how she enjoys playing recorder and speaking French. This was such an encouraging opportunity and The Salvation Army is very grateful to the Toronto Blue Jays and Vernon Wells for making it happen! Thank you!
