The Canadian Staff Band to visit Nova Scotia

    The Canadian Staff Band of The Salvation Army will be visiting Nova Scotia to perform various concerts, lead workshops and visit local Salvation Army Corps.

    Based in Toronto, the group is well-known as one of the finest brass bands in the world. Some notable performances include: Walt Disney World in Florida, Mexico City and the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.

    The band consists of officers and employees of The Salvation Army's Territorial Headquarters for Canada and Bermuda, and from various Corps located near Toronto. Band members have a wide variety of backgrounds such as: teachers, sales managers and students, but they join together to play delightful music. Their repertoire consists of traditional symphonic pieces, impressive marches, and the latest in Christian contemporary music just to name a few.

    Public Concerts:

    Fairview Citadel (50 Gesner Street) : Saturday April 9, 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Brass concert. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased from Keith Haggett at 902.497.7337, or by email at ericsblues@hotmail.com. (Limited seating tickets must be purchased in advance)

    Kentville Community Church (15 Nichols Ave) : Sunday April 10, 3 p.m. Concert, freewill offering will be collected.
