This morning at Gare Centrale in Montreal we were asked to play "We wish you a Merry Christmas" so the young woman could record it and send it to her mother. At the end I asked, where is mum? And she responded "in Syria". In the strain, turmoil and terror that must be her daily life, she was going to hear a Carol of Hope for despite it all, it was hoped she would have a Merry Christmas.
