REGINA, SK – Well it was a great day at The Salvation Army – Haven of Hope Tuesday, August 29th.  Four of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Ricky Foley #95, Tristan Black #51, Eddie Russ #16 and Rey Williams #48 helped to fill and hand out backpacks to families that were supported through the Back-To-School Backpack program. As well as helping serve,  players, coaches and Rider staff provided a monetary donation towards the program which helped to contribute about 80 backpacks.

The players visited Haven of Hope with the support of Athletes in Action, a group that works with professional and amateur athletes and coaches to use their unique platform of sport to help people around the world in various ways.

Regina Haven of Hope distributed 500 backpacks to those in need, providing the opportunity to unzip a backpack and find freshly stocked supplies, so they could go to school with confidence on their first day.
