Heritage Park Temple Youth receive Manitoba Sport Opportunities Program Grant

    Winnipeg, MB – Recently The Salvation Army Heritage Park Temple was awarded a $1,514 grant from the Manitoba Sport Opportunities Program for replacements and upgrades to sporting equipment for its youth programs.

    “With this funding,” said Major Sandra Budden, Corps Officer for Heritage Park Temple, “participants in our Kids Club and 825 Drop-in Centre will have access to sporting equipment designed to combine fun, fitness and team work.”

    At its location on 825 School Road, Heritage Park Temple offers a number of youth programs and services.  These include an after school and feeding program, a weekly sports night program and an evening drop-in program for troubled teens in the junior and senior high school age groups. These programs serve children in the paired community of St James – Assiniboia.
