With only days to spare, two extremely generous donations helped The Salvation Army to reach its goal of $475,000 in the 2014 London Christmas Kettle Campaign.

On Friday, December 19, Tony Marsman of Rembrandt Homes presented a cheque for over $18,000 as his contribution to a total donation in excess of $36,000 made by attendees to the annual Rembrandt Homes Christmas Luncheon.

And on Monday, December 23, Carl and Pat Churchill of Churchill Logisitcs visited Divisional Headquarters where they presented a cheque in the amount of $25,000 to the kettle campaign. After learning of the possibility of a shortfall in the campaign, the Churchills pledged to match the last weekend’s kettle donations up to $25,000.

The Salvation Army is indebted to both the Churchills and their family as well as to Tony Marsman and Rembrandt Homes.
