Matt Bursey left Hamilton, Ontario 2 months ago to begin the Far & Wide Bike Trek to raise funds and awareness for adults with disabilities. Funds raised from this trek are going to support the creation of The Salvation Army Autism Centre in Hamilton. Matt has biked his way through the cities of the east, the wild weather of Kansas, the tough mountains of Colorado and finds himself now on the west coast in sunny California.

On his sometimes lonely 12,000 km journey across North America, Matt is meeting some interesting and generous people. “I am so impressed with the charity of individuals trying to help me finish this trek, I will never forget it and remember to help others in the same situation for the rest of my life. It’s great when these things happen because sometimes you can be pretty lonely and the task at hand seems unattainable. But then you meet such a cool person and its so rejuvenating to push you to the next destination.”
