Every year, the Gateway Shelter located in Downtown Toronto hosts their annual 5K Santa Shuffle Fun Run, an event that is also celebrated in 41 cities across Canada. This Merry event helps The Salvation Army to assist families and individuals in need during the Christmas season and throughout the year.
All funds raised from Santa Shuffle goes directly to the Gateway’s drop-in program, where anyone, regardless of their circumstances, can access hot meals, recreational programming, warmth and a place for friendships to develop. The Gateway drop-in plays a crucial role in keeping men and women off of the streets and supports individuals transitioning from the shelter into a place to call home.
