The year is quickly coming to an end, but assistance is still needed for society’s most vulnerable individuals and families. This holiday season, follow your heart and save money by making a gift to The Salvation Army before December 31st.

The Salvation Army is a registered charity, which means donors will receive a tax receipt for monetary donations. With that, you will be entitled to a charitable contribution deduction against your income tax. In addition, Gifts of Securities such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds will help eliminate capital gains taxes.

  • Assisted 88,000 people during Christmas with food hampers and toys
  • Served 850,000 meals at shelters and in feeding programs
  • Provided 225,000 people with food, clothing or practical assistance
