George Bernard Shaw, an Irish author, once said, “I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.” donalee_profile.croppedwebside

Frederick James Moulton lived by those words. His daughter, donalee, describes him as a man who continually thought of others. That is why she is planning to remember her father in a very special way. The Salvation Army is an organization that feeds, clothes and provides shelter for many in our community that do no have the means to provide for themselves. Because donalee felt that The Salvation Army has the very same belief as her father, she is planning to set up The Frederick Moulton Endowed Fund to support the continued need for food, clothing and shelter in the Maritimes. The endowment would be a great addition to Frederick James Moulton’s long tradition of helping others.

An endowed fund is an example of a gift that continues to provide for others over time. The original invested capital provides regular withdrawals, which in this case can fund the work of The Salvation Army. This is exactly what donalee wanted for her father, his memory would live in perpetuity through this gift.
