Santa was dressed in green this week as Reddin Equipment, a farm equipment dealer in Strattford, PEI, paid a visit to The Salvation Army.

The family-run John Deere dealership has operated just outside Charlottetown for nearly four decades. This week they donated $4,000 worth of John Deere toys to the Charlottetown Salvation Army for use in this year’s Christmas campaign. The exchange was broadcast live on local radio station Ocean 100.3.

Thanks to donations like this, The Salvation Army is able to give families an opportunity to have a Christmas they otherwise would not have. Through Christmas support programs across the Maritimes, The Salvation Army provides food for a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, as well as gifts to put under the tree for children.
