The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services has received a sizable and practical donation for use in British Columbia from the Vancouver Island Disaster Relief Trailer Association. The semi -trailer contained new, unopened emergency response items that will be used by The Salvation Army EDS when called to an event. John McEwan, The Salvation Army Emergency Director for British Columbia says “the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ladysmith, graciously donated new goods and the trailer to The Salvation Army’s extensive network of emergency vehicles, mobile kitchens and now, this excellent portable storage and supply trailer for future EDS responses in BC.”

Many of the donated items have been faithfully donated by local Ladysmith firms and kind individuals. Flood lights, hygiene kits, air mattresses and first aid kits are among the items donated by the Fraternal Order of Eagles through its Vancouver Island Disaster Relief Trailer Association. The Salvation Army is British Columbia is extremely grateful for this first of its kind EDS semi-trailer in Canada and would like to thank the Fraternal Order of Eagles throughout the Province for their generous donation to the Emergency Services work of The Salvation Army.
