Family Fun raises funds for Lighthouse Centre.

The 1st Annual Family Golf Classic held on July 19th raised over $10,000.00 with the funds raised going towards the support of local programs and services offered to the community.

“We are very thankful to all those who helped organize, sponsor, and attend the Family Golf Classic. The funds raised will go to support the good work we do at the Lighthouse Centre” shared Sean Junglas, Community Ministries Director. “Fun was had by all those who attended.”

The Lighthouse Centre serves Campbell River’s most vulnerable citizens by providing hot meals, showers, laundry, hygiene supplies and emergency assistance. The hot lunch program served approximately 20,000 meals annually. In 2013, we assisted over 400 households with vouchers for our Thrift Store (for clothing, linens, household supplies) and other emergency assistance including food hampers.
