Within the last few years The Salvation Army has seen an increase in demand with the amount of families coming to The Salvation Army for support, especially during this time of year.  The Salvation Army aims to provide children throughout British Columbia with the necessary tools needed in order to have a successful year – as accomplished through both in kind and monetary donations.

Items of greatest need, include:

  • Binders
  • Loose leaf paper
  • Notebooks books – blank and lined
  • Scotch tape
  • Scissors
  • Fine tip markers
  • Glue Sticks
  • White glue
  • Scientific Calculators
  • Erasers
  • White out
  • Highlighters

“As a community we need to pull together. Last year, we distributed approx. 250 backpacks and currently, we only have supplies for 75. If you can, please help.  We can all make a difference!” says, Sipili Molia, Community Relations Coordinator for The Salvation Army Stan Hagen Centre for Families.
