Thank you to our partners TELUS who sponsored a new 5 ton truck for The Salvation Army Harbour Light via the 1st Annual Hope in the Inner City:  Soup Kitchen Gala.

The gala took place at Harbour Light, located at 119 East Cordova and featured an evening of appetizers, live music, a silent auction and dinner created by Karen Barnaby of The Fish House in Stanley Park.  The program also acknowledged the contributions of a successful client and corporate partner, TELUS, through the presentation of the Life Changer Award.

Through this new truck, The Salvation Army is better equipped and further able to help those in our communities with efficiency and ease.   The truck will be used for deliveries and pick ups all across the Lower Mainland.  Not to mention, as the unit is refrigerated and equipped with a power tailgate along with an overall capacity haul of 8 – 10 skids of product at one time … The Salvation Army Harbour Light is able to meet all refrigeration requirements and standards for products such as meats, yogurts, and other dairy items.

Thank you TELUS.

We look forward to this year’s gala which will be held on May 10th.
