Gaining more support and momentum year after year, last year’s 2011 Hope in the City Luncheon was no exception in being the largest most well attended event in its capacity to date.

This annual fundraiser benefits The Salvation Army’s fight against human sexual trafficking and raised $110,000 to provide support and a safe environment for survivors of exploitation and human sexual trafficking.

Over 450 guests attended this year’s event, representing a business savvy, philanthropic, community-minded, influential and affluentVancouverdemographic.

Funds raised over the last seven years were critical in opening a safe house for survivors, the first of its kind in Canada.  Through the support of those who care, Deborah’s Gate can continue to provide safe shelter and supportive recovery in a dignified and non-judgemental environment.

Thank you to MC, Tamara Taggart and expert speakers, Benjamin Perrin and MP Joy Smith.

Your generosity helps us in our continued fight to DO SOMETHING.
