Fashion Hope and Luvngrace Productions are pleased to join forces with The Salvation Army,  Compasio International and SexTrade 101, for the July 23 MAZZUCCO Photo /  Art Exhibit and fundraiser in working towards building awareness of human sexual trafficking and the fight against it.   Proceeds of the Sascha Mazzucco photo exhibit and silent auction of an original painting donated by Raphael Mazzucco, as well as original pieces donated by seven top Canadian fashion designers: Leone Fashion, Danier, Malene Grotrian, Lava and Kush, Jacqueline Conoir, and Bun will go towards supporting these non-profits and their efforts.

Specifically speaking to the cause, The Salvation Army’s Deborah’s Gate ministry works in collaboration with existing community resources equipped to provide confidential, professional and culturally sensitive services in law enforcement, immigration, legal counsel, income assistance, counseling services, medical needs, addiction services, and translation services.

“We are excited to support such a solid organization in Vancouver.  It is important to us to see local investment in a local, Canadian organization,” commented Fashion Hope CEO, Marc Palmer.  “Deborah’s Gate provides not only desperately needed care and services to exploited women, it is also a model of inter-organizational cooperation that we can all learn from.”

The evening includes keynote addresses from Joy Smith, MP, the Canadian Member of Parliament blazing a legislative path to abolish human trafficking; from Tara Teng, Miss Canada 2011, a passionate leading international voice on abolition; and from Natasha Falle, a survivor of human trafficking and now educator and Executive Director of SexTrade101.
