In recognition as an employer who hires persons with disabilities, The Salvation Army Caledonia, Ont., thrift store was recently presented with the award “Abilities First Employer”.

A retail training centre at the store allows local individuals an opportunity to train and become employed in the retail industry. People with disabilities find hope and dignity through the program.

The Salvation Army believes that human dignity is a fundamental right for all.
