From October 17-31, entertainment and communications company Shaw Tracking rallied more than 400 employees at its Mississauga office to collect gently-used clothing to help vulnerable citizens this Winter.

The company-wide clothing drive resulted in 45 bags of clothing including jackets, sweaters and winter boots weighing a total of 562 pounds. The donations were recently dropped-off at the Oakville Recycling Centre where our team had an opportunity to personally thank the organizer Kaye Williams-Ranking.

Kaye said Shaw employees were committed to donating as many items as possible and made efforts to clean out their closets at home to help provide those less fortunate with warm clothing for the upcoming winter months.

“The total weigh in of 562 pounds is definitely a good start but this is just the beginning for us at Shaw,” said Kaye. “Knowing how much our donation is appreciated, we will strive to surpass this amount the second time around.”
