As part of the Army’s Dignity Project, a collection of photos taken by homeless men and women in Ottawa is touring the city. The photos were taken in April 2011 and represent a snapshot of their everyday life. The exhibit is on display in various public spaces throughout the summer.

Imagine not knowing where your next meal will come from or if you will have somewhere to sleep tonight. Imagine having to wear the same clothes each day or not having a decent pair of shoes.

Sadly, this is reality for many Canadians. Poverty and homelessness is the largest epidemic facing our country.
