In recent weeks, as swollen rivers and creeks flooded houses and streets in Saskatchewan’s southeast, hundreds of people have temporarily left their homes.

The Salvation Army’s Emergency Response team is:
• feeding and hydrating volunteers responding to the floods;
• feeding evacuees three meals per day, providing cooks, servers and clean-up personnel. To date, more than 1,500 meals have been served;
• providing spiritual & emotional care for devastated victims;
• providing clothing, bedding, toiletries, baby formula, and other practical items to those who request it.

As Saskatchewan suffers from flooding not seen in centuries, The Salvation Army stands ready to meet unmet needs.
