New Salvation Army Resource Centre Opens

Winnipeg – It may have been relocated nine times over the past 25 years, but The Salvation Army is only looking to the future with the unveiling of its Barbara Mitchell Family Resource Centre on Morrow Avenue in St. Vital.
“This new facility today with its vast capacity will offer a multifaceted response to the needs of families and individuals, treating each one of them with dignity,” said Commissioner Brian Peddle, territorial commander of The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory, on Monday.
“For young people, for moms and dads, for new Canadians, for all the folks who live in this neighbourhood, we want today to welcome you into your place.”
