Description

National Recycling Operations – Thrift Store adheres to its core values of compassion, respect, excellence, integrity, relevance, cooperation, and celebration. NRO supports The Salvation Army by recycling and selling donated goods which generate funds in support of its social service programs within our communities.

Responsibilities

As a Store Manager you will plan, direct, and control all aspects of the store’s operations. In doing so, you will ensure consistent profitability by maintaining high standards in sales, merchandising, marketing, floor displays, store promotions, guest service, public relations and expense control.

You can expect to join a hands-on work environment where you will be required to physically move through our operation while adhering to daily goals. We are operational 7 days a week and schedule our employees based on operational needs - days, evenings and weekends (Please Note: Our stores are open for shopping Monday to Saturday and Sundays we are open to receive donations).

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate possesses a college diploma in business/retail or an equivalent combination of education and experience; including 5 plus years of demonstrated customer service focused retail management experience. This position will be responsible for driving results, building and motivating teams, developing reports, and managing and measuring work/systems. You have superior time management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong people skills. You are computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, internet, and basic office equipment and have knowledge of basic accounting procedures. The successful candidate will be required to provide Criminal Record Check satisfactory to the employer.
