TERMS:
• Part Time – 10 hours weekly

Responsibilities

• Worship Services – Support the pastor by assisting with service planning, music leadership (including musical mentorship of worship team members), and preaching.
• Youth Ministries – Assist in providing leadership and direction to the spiritual aspects of our youth programs -- planning/sharing relevant Bible discussions; assist in planning/leading social events; and provide one-on-one mentoring as needed.
• Volunteer Recruitment – Assist in the recruitment, screening, training and deployment of volunteers.
• Young Adults – Develop/lead young adult programs, with a strong emphasis on leadership development and deployment.
• Pastoral Care – Assist the pastoral/leadership teams in offering pastoral care, especially to young adults and families with teen/children.
• Church Planting – Assist in leading the Metrotown bible classes and in the ongoing development of the spiritual ministries there.
• Discipleship – Lead relevant Bible Classes (as assigned) for the benefit of seekers, new believers, mature Christians.
• Other duties/responsibilities required by the employer that will support the incumbent’s ongoing schooling and development in pastoral ministries.

Qualifications

• Oral and Written fluency in both Mandarin and English, required.
• Post-secondary education in pastoral ministries, theology, youth ministries.
• Clear criminal record check; Salvation Army clearance to work with children/youth.
