  • Part time – 16 hours per week (weekend schedule)


  • Prepares meals; may prepare special dietary needs of guests
  • Adapts work practices to ensure efficient delivery of food services
  • Makes best use of resources and donations to minimize waste
  • Follows guidelines for the safety and security of food and equipment
  • May supervise students, volunteers or guests in work therapy
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Cook training: Minimum 1 year
  • Strong service ethic and a friendly disposition with the public
  • Adaptability to change and frequent interruptions
  • Team oriented and able to take initiative
  • Willingness to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Food Safe, CPR, First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis training an asset
  • Industrial cooking experience an asset
