  • Mentor, disciple and encourage children, youth and families through intentional and relevant programming
  • Model Christian attitudes and behaviours, living above reproach
  • Maintains current children and youth programming



  • Develops new church programs through thoughtful research, prayer, and planning
  • Competent with community outreach as well as visitation with families connected to ministry
  • Implements leadership development and coaching programs for youth and those involved in youth leadership
  • Works as a key team member with the church’s ministry leadership for the benefit of the family ministry
  • Ensures safety and confidentiality of participants at all times
  • Implements security procedures and protocols held by church and family services
  • Liaises regularly with community partners and resources to provide services to the community families
  • Chaperones children and youth safely to and from camp during summer months and to events throughout the year
  • Maintains accurate records and logs of all program activities
  • Maintains accurate records and logs of all families, children, and youth connected with ministry
  • Discover and develop leaders within ministry to maximize effectiveness
  • Works to organize and hold fundraising events throughout the year
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Oversees and governs all leaders of programs connected with Youth and Community ministry
  • Evaluates and determines effectiveness of programming on a yearly basis
  • Envisions, creates and maintains a yearly calendar of activities and events


    • One year of prior related experience, including, experience working with children and youth
    • Two years of volunteer service within a church or ministry context
  • Able to obtain clearance from Criminal Police Investigation (CPIC) and the vulnerable sector check


  • Possess a Class 5 Driver’s License, current driver’s abstract required
  • Able to provide three references, two pastoral and one work-related.
