The Salvation Army Ethics Centre is a ministry of The Salvation Army, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, that provides an accessible environment and resources for ethical thinking and engagement, richly informed by the Christian faith.

Responsibilities

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting professional staff and a national board and committee with administrative support
  • Maintaining a small library in good order
  • Reception duties
  • Preparation of polished documents
  • Arranging logistics for meetings and minute-taking
  • Maintaining an integrated filing system
  • Website posting and maintenance using internet search engines and databases
  • Ordering and maintenance of resource center and office supplies
  • Financial records
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years administrative experience
  • Post-secondary education from an accredited program would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in the use of computer/office equipment and website posting and maintenance are required: Microsoft Office, IBM Lotus Notes, WordPress, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Congenial, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a group;
  • Must be able to work in a multi-task environment and maintain poise under pressure
  • Confidentiality and discretion are essential
  • Committed to excellence in all aspects of work
  • Have demonstrated a strong work ethic; precision, reliability, trustworthiness, integrity and personal maturity
  • A good understanding of The Salvation Army an asset
  • Be able to support The Salvation Army mission and values
  • Occasional travel out of Winnipeg is expected.
