Food Bank Supplies Dwindle

The Salvation Army in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, says the shelves of the local food bank are starting to look a little bare as the stocks from Christmas dwindle. Items they are in need of include one litre juice boxes, canned fruit and canned pasta.

“We are always accepting donations, people don’t necessarily have to wait for a food drive,” says Lieut. Peter Robinson of The Salvation Army. “They can certainly come down to The Salvation Army and they can drop off food at any time. They can also just give us a call; if they need it to be picked up we also have a van that can come by and pick up the donations.”
