On July 31, the Toronto Blue Jays and Centrefielder Vernon Wells hosted The Salvation Army at the Jays game at Rogers Centre.

Fifty children from The Salvation Army Yorkwoods (Jane and Finch neighbourhood) and 614 (Regent Park neighbourhood) enjoyed a Jays game, complete with treats and time with Vernon Wells.

The Salvation Army was highlighted for its community work and presented with the State Farm Good Neighbour Award before the game.

The kids had so much fun! They were featured several times on the jumbotron as they cheered on the Blue Jays.
