Oakville, ON. People’s lives change when they’re treated with dignity.

On Wednesday, October 17, 2012, BioPed clinicians and staff across Canada will open their hearts and their hands to children and adults in need of footwear and socks. Through the company’s goodytwoshoes foundation, more than 100 professionals donate their time and expertise to improve the quality of life for the less fortunate.

Says Robin Schleien, President and CEO of BioPed Franchising Inc., “Our partnership with The Salvation Army and independent shelters across Canada is a natural extension of the goodytwoshoes mission. In closing our clinic doors on October 17th, we hope to open countless doorways for those individuals who do not necessarily have access to adequate footcare and footwear.”

goodytwoshoes aims to give the gift of comfort, activity and better foot health to thousands of Canadians. Working with Salvation Army and local shelters in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario, BioPed associates will educate, properly fit and distribute thousands of pairs of shoes and socks during this day-long special event.

“We especially wish to thank RMP Athletic, BSN Medical, National Shoe Specialists, Aetrex and Vittoria Phoenix, our valued partners, for supporting our efforts,” Mr. Schleien continued. “Through their generosity, we’ve accumulated more than 2,000 pairs of shoes and socks in our warehouse, with several thousand more pairs of “gently worn” shoes being donated by patients of our 48 clinics.”
