On November 6, Major Roy Langer, Divisional Emergency & Disaster Services (EDS) Director for the Alberta & Northern Territories, was recognized at the Alberta Legislature by Danielle Smith for the work done by The Salvation Army for flood relief. “Through ongoing flood relief efforts in Alberta, The Salvation Army has served more than 10,000 people with food, water, and emotional care. Major Roy was among the first NGO representatives in High River in the last month, and he personally helped over 150 front-line workers in High River heal from their experiences through the Critical Incident Stress Management program, including me and my constituency staff.”

Congratulations to Major Roy Langer and the EDS team for all their hard work and tireless care for those affected by the floods last summer and Giving Hope Today to thousands of people.
