Peter Drucker, a famed management expert, says in his book, Peter Drucker on the Profession of Management:
“The Salvation Army is by far the most effective organization… No one even comes close to it with respect to clarity of mission, ability to innovate, measurable results, dedication and putting money to maximum use.”
Even with the effectiveness born of 120 years of experience helping Canadians in need, The Salvation Army finds itself asking Canadians today for more and more support to help us meet the needs of families in a country where children still go to bed hungry and their mothers work the streets to provide for them.
Thanks to your generous support in the past, The Salvation Army has become Canada’s largest independent provider of a broad range of social services. We don’t take that support for granted, and while we’re proud of what we do, we recognize that it isn’t nearly enough. The need is still greater than our ability to meet it, but your help will make it possible to do much more.
