Kenora Store Celebrates Re-Opening After Extensive Renovations

Toy Mountain 2016 Raises 19,000 Toys


The Salvation Army in Winnipeg is proud to officially announce another successful Toy Mountain campaign, as the organization exceeded their goal in 2016 by roughly 2,000 toys.

Salvation Army Neepawa is on the move!

Winnipeg Foundation Gets Kids Cooking!


Thanks to The Winnipeg Foundation, children ages seven to 12 are learning how to plan, prepare and cook healthy food at The Salvation Army's Barbara Mitchell Family Centre (BMFRC) in the Alpine Place neighbourhood of Winnipeg.

T.A.S.K. (Together After School for Kids) is a no-cost healthy food program offered to girls and boys, with a focus on having fun while learning the importance of good health.  Kids explore various ways to make healthier choices through hands-on healthy food preparation, activities and group discussions.

Giving back: Author will donate book proceeds to The Salvation Army


After moving to Canada from Nigeria for a fresh start 13 years ago, a Winnipeg businessman and author is giving back to the city after establishing a life for himself and his family.

Ré Peters will launch his book, titled Your House, Your Choice, on October 1, 2016 at 7 p.m. at McNally Robinson. All proceeds from the first half million copies sold will go directly to The Salvation Army.
