WESTMAN, MB – In the aftermath of record rainfalls, The Salvation Army continues to provide aid and comfort to individuals in flood affected regions of Southwestern Manitoba. Volunteers and staff had a presence in the areas surrounding Elkhorn, Melita and Virden last week. We reached out to flood victims with the offer of a Meet and Greet, provision of snacks and drinks, and assistance with filling out required paperwork and forms.

This week, The Salvation Army has been active in the town of Deloraine and Brandon. At the Keystone Centre in Brandon, we are providing help at the site of the Emergency Measures Organization’s Mobile Recovery Office. From there, we will be present in the town of Pierson on Friday.
