Dauphin, MB – The Salvation Army is on location at Ochre Beach following the devastation caused by a massive wall of ice blown ashore from Dauphin Lake.

“The devastation is heart rending,” states Major Grayling Crites of The Salvation Army. “We responded immediately when called upon over the weekend.  We arrived on site to provide hot coffee and refreshments during the cold and a shoulder of support. We will continue to assist in whatever capacity we can.”

Debbie Clarke, The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services Director, will be heading to the disaster area to meet with residents and local government officials first thing on the morning of May 14.  The Salvation Army will be on hand to provide help and assistance to those affected in whatever way it can.
