December 3rd, 2011 marked another successful Santa Shuffle Fun Run and Elf Walk for The Salvation Army across Canada.  Canadians sprung into action to fight poverty one step at a time. The morning brought with it, fresh cool air perfect for that last run of the season.   Santa was on site with his sleigh along with his good friend Jack Frost. Kevin from My Favourite Trainer lead a great warm up for all.  The Toronto run welcomed participants at Wilket Creek where we had record numbers in attendance.  Our EDS vehicle provided hot chocolate for everyone.  The Redpath “Acts of Sweetness” vehicle provided sugar cookies for our runners where everyone enjoyed a look at their vintage milk truck.

We would like to extend our thanks to our National Sponsor All Weather Windows for being an exceptional partner in supporting this event.  We would also like to extend our thanks to Warner Brothers and Postlinx for their continued support and we very much look forward to our continued partnership.  Our run also welcomed outstanding volunteers who were critical in running the event.  Their gift of time and service was very much valued.

Lastly, we would like to send a very special thank you to all the participants and all the donors who helped raise much needed funds to support those in need not only at Christmas but all year round.  Merry Christmas to everyone and we look forward to seeing you next year.  Mark your calendars for December 1, 2012.
