June 5th is National Hunger Awareness Day. This is a growing movement to raise awareness about the problem of hunger in Canada. From food banks, for those who don’t have enough money to feed themselves or their families, to community response vehicles that travel the streets to feed those often overlooked, The Salvation Army in Ontario Great Lakes gives hope to those in desperate situations.

Everyone can play a part in reducing hunger. You can volunteer at the local food bank, organize a food drive, or donate food or funds. Join with us on June 5th remember those who are hungry. At each meal that you have tomorrow, we ask you to pause, give thanks for the food that you have and remember those who are hungry.
