_YAN0814With 454 guests in attendance, The Salvation Army hosted their 8th annual Hope in The City Leadership Breakfast in Toronto. An inspiring event that has kicked off the annual Kettle Campaign and Christmas giving was treated to a keynote address from Major Danielle Strickland, whose passion for justice had led her to serve in the poorest communities in North America and around the world.

With an audience of leaders from both the public and private sectors, Major Strickland’s tenants of leadership and call to look beyond the cultural views and stereotypes we so often place on those we meet, but to see them as an equal, worthy of respect and compassion was hard hitting and thought provoking.

Thank you to all guests and sponsors who make this event such an incredible success every year!
