Throughout your life, there are many ways you can support the mission of The Salvation Army.
You can donate to our kettles during the Christmas season, provide clothing and goods to our thrift stores and volunteer with our programs. You also can help generate positive changes in other people’s lives for years to come by including The Salvation Army in your will.
The Salvation Army was one of the first charities in Canada to introduce planned giving to its supporters. Funds received through our Planned Giving program play an important role in the Army’s ability to provide practical support, hope and dignity to vulnerable people in Canada and around the world.
Steven, a long-time Salvation Army supporter and donor, chose to include the Army in his will to ensure that we will be able to plan and sustain good work long into the future. Through the planned giving process, Steven worked with his financial and legal advisors as well as a Salvation Army gift planner to set up his bequest, providing the Army with funds that will continue to help give the necessities of life, along with the many other social services, that assist those in need in overcoming poverty, homelessness, addiction and mental illness.
It always feels good to give a helping hand. Just imagine the pride and joy you will feel after leaving a charitable gift in your will. Your generosity will live on with just one act of kindness, which will inspire your family and touch future generations for years to come. Consider making a lasting gift to The Salvation Army, and give the gift of hope always.
