The Salvation Army would like to thank all of our donors for their support. It is through caring individuals, companies, foundations and organizations, that we are able to be the “helping hands” to people who turn to us for assistance. The Salvation Army acknowledges, with gratitude, the following:

cu-logo-1.gifCredit Unions are the proud sponsor of the first Running Sober Campaign . Just three short years prior, living on the streets, the last thing Rick MacDonald ever imagined he’d be doing in the fall of 2007 was running across Nova Scotia for a cause. But with courage, perseverance, and help from his friends at The Salvation Army’s Booth Centre, Rick has conquered his battle with addiction and homelessness. Now he’s back on his feet and running. In October 2007, Rick laced up his shoes for a journey across the province with the Running Sober campaign to raise awareness and funds for the Booth Centre; educating and inspiring others all along the way. The run may be long, but the struggle against addiction never ends.

hrmfire.gifThe Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services is a supporter of The Salvation Army’s Community Response Vehicle and Scotian Glen Camp.

At Scotian Glen, HRM Fire Services cleared brush following hurricane Juan. A team of about 10 firefighters will be painting the interior of the main meeting hall and the dining hall.

HRM Fire Services’s warm and fuzzy committee does special events to raise funds for camp and collect Canadian Tire money which goes towards camp supplies. Along with this, when someone visits their administration building at Aldering Landing, they will see a coin bank gathering funds for Scotian Glen camp.

The Salvation Army provides assistance to the HRM Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
