Halifax radio station 101.3 The Bounce partnered with Sleep Country Canada to collect coats for The Salvation Army through its “24 Hours Under The Covers for Coats” campaign that took place from November 5 until November 15. Radio personality Amateur Alex spent 24 hours in a bed at the Bayers Lake location of Sleep Country Canada on November 5 collecting coats, to ensure everyone stays warm this winter.

“Last year we collected 600 coats, but this year we collected double,” says James Woods, special programs coordinator at the Halifax Centre of Hope. “We’re grateful for the generosity of our community to rally around this great cause.”

A big thank you Sleep Country Canada, 101.3 The Bounce, and everyone who dropped by to donate a coat, for your tremendous support!
