The Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast, presented by Nova Scotia Power, is now just three weeks away and tickets are going fast.

Samantha Nutt Head Shot WEBOn Friday, May 8, humanitarian Dr. Samantha Nutt will be in Halifax in May to serve as keynote speaker for the fourth annual breakfast at the Westin Nova Scotian. It will bring together approximately 400 business people and community leaders for a morning of networking, education and entertainment in support of the work The Salvation Army is doing in our community.

The founder and executive director of War Child Canada, Nutt is committed to peace, human rights and social justice. With more than 15 years of experience working in war zones, she has been at the front line of many of the world’s major crises. Over the course of her professional career, she has spearheaded efforts to provide direct humanitarian support and long-term programming to war-affected children and their families, and to promote greater awareness in North America concerning the rights of children everywhere.

CTV Atlantic news anchor Steve Murphy will return to serve as emcee for the fourth consecutive year. In addition to presenting sponsor Nova Scotia Power, the event is made possible thanks to Investors Group, McInnes Cooper and CIBC Wood Gundy, as well as media partners C100 and Metro Halifax.

Tickets are available for the event at a cost of $50, or you can purchase a table of 10 for $500. CLICK HERE to download a ticket order form.
