The children have something to sing about in Kentville, N.S. The Salvation Army’s Kentville Community Church has a thriving children’s singing program, comprised of children from the Corps as well as the community.

Around 20 children participate in the singing company called Kids ROCK (Kids Reaching Out for Christ’s Kingdom). They sing at the Corps every second week, and reach out to the community through public events as well.

“We have a wonderful music program here at our Corps,” says Roxanne Seaman, Youth Music Coordinator. “We have a number of leaders at our Corps who are able to take leadership positions for our singing program as well as our banding program. (The kids) love to sing.”

In June, The Salvation Army had a video created profiling the singing company. This video was proudly played during The Salvation Army’s national congress in Mississauga, Ont., later that month. CLICK HERE to view the video now, and see the singing company in action.
