The Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast, Presented by CIBC, just one month away

Mark your calendars. It’s now just 30 days until the inaugural Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast, presented by CIBC. The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 24, from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Westin Nova Scotian.

The event will feature an address from keynote speaker Catriona Le May Doan, a Canadian Olympic icon. A two-time gold medalist in speedskating, winning the 500-metre competition in the 1998 and 2002 Winter Games, she is the only Canadian athlete to defend an Olympic gold medal in any discipline, and still holds the Olympic record in the 500 metres. In August, Catriona will head to London as a member of the CTV broadcast team for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, England.

The morning will also feature local news anchor Steve Murphy serving as emcee.

Taking place just a stone’s throw from the scenic Halifax waterfront, the Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast, Presented by CIBC, will bring together over 200 prominent business people and community leaders from around the region for a morning of networking, entertainment and education, all in support of the work that The Salvation Army is doing right here in the Maritimes.

With the event closing in, more reminders will soon be present. Billboards went up around the city this week, and early next month media partner C100 will begin airing ads for the event.

Tickets are still available, but they are going fast. Cost is $50 for an individual ticket, or purchase a table of 10 for $500. Download an order form HERE, or visit the event webpage for more information.
