Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast, presented by CIBC, just six weeks away

The Salvation Army Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast, Presented by CIBC, is fast approaching. The inaugural event is just six weeks away, set to take place on Thursday, May 24, from 7:30-9 a.m.

Catriona Le May Doan

The event will feature an address from keynote speaker Catriona Le May Doan, a Canadian Olympic icon. A two-time gold medalist in speedskating, winning the 500-metre competition in the 1998 and 2002 Winter Games, she is the only Canadian athlete to defend an Olympic gold medal in any discipline, and still holds the Olympic record in the 500 metres. In August, Catriona will head to London as a member of the CTV broadcast team for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, England.

The morning will also feature local news anchor Steve Murphy serving as emcee.

Set to be held at the Westin Nova Scotian, the Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast, Presented by CIBC, will bring together over 200 prominent business people and community leaders from around the region for a morning of networking, entertainment and education, all in support of the work that The Salvation Army is doing right here in the Maritimes.

Tickets are still available, but they are going fast with 80 per cent sold already. Cost is $50 for an individual ticket, or purchase a table of 10 for $500. Download an order form HERE, or visit the event webpage for more information.
