Valley First Staff Makes a Difference in Penticton

Valley First and its community program Feed The Valley has been an integral support to The Salvation Army Community Food Bank in Penticton for more than five years.  Almost 65,000 pounds of food has been collected and more than $943,000 has been donated since the launch of the Feed The Valley program in March 2010.

Vancouver, British Columbia | October 7, 2015 — The Vancouver Canadians Professional Baseball Club in partnership with Safeway delivered family-sized turkeys as part of the annual ‘Canadians Thanksgiving’ on Wednesday, October 7 at 12:30pm to The Salvation Army Vancouver Community and Family Services.

Canadians front office staff was on-hand, in joining a number of volunteers from Safeway who generously donated 100 family-sized turkeys, 100 cooking trays as well as enviro-friendly bags for those receiving this donation.
