Chinese New Year Parade – January 29, 2017

About the event:

Come and see The Salvation Army in The Chinese New Year Parade  Sunday Janaury 29th, 2017 starting at 11am! 

This is The Salvation Army's first time in the parade and you can expect apperances from our signature 1950 vehicle, Sally Ann, members of The Salvation Army band and some goodies for those in the parade!

This signature event of Vancouver's Chinatown will feature lion dances, cultural dance troupes, marching bands, martial arts performances and much more. This is an annual cultural extravaganza not to be missed.

Toy Mountain – December 8 & 9, 2016

Be a Hero for Hope and  make this Christmas a happy one for children in your community by joining us at Guildford Town Centre on December 8th and 9th from 5:30am to 7:00pm to drop off a donation of cash or an unwrapped toy.

The Salvation Army will then deliver these toys to children and families in need in our community just in time for Christmas morning! 

Come on down to donate and visit our partnering sponsors on air personalities from CTV News, 103.5 QMFM, 94.5 Virgin Radio and TSN Radio Vancouver.

Santa Shuffle – December 3, 2016

The annual 5K Santa Shuffle Fun Run & 1K Elf Walk brings families and friends together in a fun atmosphere to raise money for families and individuals in need.

This year, you and your family could be Heroes for Hope to someone in your community by participating in this great event.

The 2016 Santa Shuffle is once again taking place at Lumberman's Arch in Stanley Park.

About the event:

The Hope in the City Breakfast is a special Christmas tradition at The Salvation Army.

The event brings together Vancouver’s business community join to ring in the holiday season, raise funds and awareness and understand the work of The Salvation Army.

It is only because of the ongoing support demonstrated from these caring corporations, that we are better equipped to create significant and long-lasting improvements in local communities, while providing essential services for those in need.

Celebrity Kettle Kick-Off – November 18, 2016

About the Event:

On November 18th, The Salvation Army will take over the corner of Howe & Georgia (Pacific Centre Rotunda Plaza) for the official launch of the 2016 Christmas Kettle campaign.

We want you to join us! Put on something RED and come down and be a part of one of the biggest fundraisers in the Province! 

There will be celebrities from the sporting and entertainment world and the one and only Vij Vickram will have his Railway Express food truck on site.
Enjoy some great music and some amazing food … all while supporting a great cause!

This is our fourth annual event to launch the kettle season in Vancouver, in partnership with CTV, Virgin 94.5FM, 103.5QMFM and TSN Radio.
