Saturday, December 4th marked the 20th Annual Salvation Army Santa Shuffle Fun Run & Elf Walk at Lumberman’s Arch in Stanley Park.  Proving to be a beautiful clear day with the sun shining and the snow covered mountains providing the perfect backdrop, the 5km run and 1km walk raised both awareness and funds for local Salvation Army services and programs during the Christmas season and throughout the year.

Vancouver’s Number 1 Hit Radio Station, The Beat 94.5, is presenting their annual Beat Cares Holiday Toy and Food Drive on Friday, December 10th. Listeners and supporters are encouraged to bring donations of cash, new unwrapped toys along with non-perishable food items to Brentwood Town Center ( 4567 Lougheed Highway, Burnaby ) in support of The Salvation Army and other local organizations.

Time | 6am – 10pm
